| - Pretty good Mexican food. On my combination plate, the cheese enchilada, rice and beans were all prepared and presented as they should be, and I enjoyed them. The chicken tamale, however, was not as good; it had large chunks of chicken breast which were dry and not especially flavorful. I normally steer clear of chicken dishes in a Mexican restaurant, but that was the only kind of tamale they served and I had a hankering for a tamale. My mistake.
The guacamole was plentiful and tasty, but with just a bit too much lime juice. The salsa had way too much cilantro for my taste. But the prices were reasonable, and the decor was pleasant. The service was okay. Our waiter was sometimes a little difficult to find, and there is more to friendly service than simply addressing the table as "mi amigos," but I really wasn't expecting the level of service at Le Cirque, so it was fine.
If I lived in Summerlin, I would go back to Pancho's. But since it is a bit of a schlep from Spring Valley, I'll probably stick to places closer to home. A truly good Mexican restaurant is tasty, cheap, and right around the corner.
