CHEAPO PARADISE
I'm only rating this 2 stars because my boyfriend told me I'm not allowed to rate it lower than the motel 6 average rating :P I would rate it one star. He loves this place because of it's "cute appeal and incredible value." Too bad we have different (extremely different) opinions on what "cute" means.
I only stayed here because it was ridiculously cheap on Hotwire (though not $25 cheap).
When I entered this hotel, I honestly thought that it wasn't going to be that bad. The casino floor was calling to me, with its flashing blinking beeping lights and sheer prospect of winning big. As a side note, this did not happen. I actually ended up losing the most money here !! The crazy wheel is rigged !!
I agree with the speculation that the hotel wastes all their money on fixing the casino and none on taking care of the rooms :( Our room was a piece of crap. I'm actually sitting in the room typing this. I was dumb enough to get an "upgraded" room with a view of the strip. Too bad I got all the noise of the strip as well. The room smells like cigarettes and moldy laundry :( I was kinda hopeful that the bed would be clean smelling at least, but I was wrong. The pillowcases are clean but they smell moldy since the actual pillow must be from the time the hotel was built. They feel that flat !! To make the room smell better, I turned the air conditioner on and it helped a lot.
The bathroom was clean but worn. =_=
One thing good that I can think of is the location. It's close to everything on the strip, and is actually a monorail stop. Location is very very important, because you will be able to stumble back drunk to a closer location and are less likely to end up in some stranger's pickup truck wondering why you're tied up.
SO IN CONCLUSION, stay here if you don't care about comfort (or aren't going to spend much time in your room and only need a place to get ready to go out or have quickie sex) but want good location.
