  • 3rd update: Received a call from Big0. Told me to go to the store and they would do a refund to my card of the doubled charges. I went to the store. They were willing to refund the charge for the installation and balancing, since I had already paid that for the first set of tires installed on my car, which were an incorrect fitment. Good for Big0 --- that is what they should have done. They told me the warranty for the replacement tires cost more than the warranty for the mis fit tires, so they refunded the difference. Good for BigO -- that is what they should have done. So, in conclusion, they put the wrong tires on my car, at first refused to do anything until I went to corporate, then agreed to replace the tires with a better fitment tire (i paid the difference in cost), then charged me double for a new installation and balancing and a new tire warranty. I complained again and they refunded the overcharge. It cost me several hundred dollars trying to find out why my car handled terrible after I got new tires on the rear. The manager later explained that he could not help me when I first asked about the misfit tires because he needed approval from high ups. This is laughable and insulting. When I initially wanted to exchange the misfit tires, here is what he said...'those tires are the right size for your car. We did nothing wrong'. He offered zero. He did not ask corporate or lift a finger to try to provide customer service. Only when I went to corporate was he told to help me. I give BigO corporate credit for being willing to swap the tires, eat a 2nd installation cost and a warranty cost. Good for them. I don't know if this store is corporate owned or a franchise store, and in either case the owner has every right to run the store as he or she sees fit. I have been in the customer service business for over 20 years and in my opinion, the folks operating this store should be trained on how to handle dissatisfied customers professionally. I am glad I got replacement tires but I would not recommend this store nor would I use it again.
