This museum is a hidden treasure for Las Vegas. As a local, I had never heard of it until one of my friends took her grandchildren there when they came to visit. A great recommendation. There were tons of hands-on exhibits for the kids. There were moving mockups of dinosaurs. It was fascinating for the adults as well as the kids. They had a section on King Tut's sarcophagus and ancient Egypt in general. They had a section on the animals of Africa. We got to see a couple of living sharks swimming in a very large tank. Probably the most outstanding part of the museum was the staff that works there. Every employee that we ran into the museum was more than happy to function as a docent as well as the jobs that they were paid to do. We had one employee we ran into at the King Tut exhibit who had been to the actual Pyramid in Egypt. He was able to give us an in-depth explanation for much of the exhibit and a lot of background information that would not have otherwise been available. What an exciting way to see this exhibit! Whether you're a visitor or a local, this is a wonderful way to spend an afternoon in Las Vegas.
