| - We all have different criteria for living in a place and what makes it quality or not in our eyes; and I've lived in places that were perfect for me, including a top floor flat in London! Also, the location of apartments and number of bedrooms, all within the same complex, can provide a range of living experiences to be had...
Muse has decent amenities, but that's not why I chose to live there. I let my leasing agent know that I had wanted a QUIET apartment; that was my main criteria. Zack said that a corner 4th floor interior-facing studio would meet my needs. He boasted of the quality Lennar construction and "party walls". It saddens me to have to write this review, because Zack and Jenny had some of the best personalities out there --in terms of leasing agents whom I've met.
After moving into said studio, what I ended up getting was one that seemed like paper thin walls. I could hear and feel the vibrations people walking by; the worst was the garbage pick-up...living in a studio, there was no 4th wall to help protect against sound. (And constructing a temporary wall was $1400 to $1500; I got construction and sliding door quotes!) The manager David offered to compensate a small monetary amount for soundproofing, but it was too low to afford effective soundproofing.
Although the folks at Muse have great personalities, coming to a happy mutual agreement was not in the cards. I was suggested to move to another apartment in the same building, which would have also been noisy. In the end, I want the apartment that I asked for, regardless of someone's personality. But I am still being penalized for moving out early, which doesn't sit well with me after all the money spent and "pain and suffering".
This 1-star rating is for all the money and hardship (moving AGAIN, apartment hunting, already paid application & admin. fees, new application and admin. fees, cost of moving and helpers, taking days off of work (losing pay), researching and getting quotes for soundproofing,, emails back and forth with the leasing office, etc.) involved with getting an apartment that was falsely represented to me. Additionally, the next step is to pursue legal aid, as I disagree with getting charged penalty fees and Muse shouldn't be allowed to get away with misrepresentation. (Either way, I'm out a lot of money. So might as well fight!)
If you are looking to rent a place, NEVER trust what your leasing agent says, as they don't live in the building necessarily. If you can at all spend a full 24 hour day in an apartment before renting, then do it!

On my move-out day (see attached pic), these people let their dog pee on the walkway from the garage to Building 2. It just was there, bubbled up, so anyone could have stepped in it...many larger dog breeds also live in the building.
