  • I am so glad I am not the only one who had a bad experience with the Salvation Army Pick-Up Service. I called on 10/3/12 and booked a pick-up for yesterday, 10/18/12. When I called to confirm I was told I was on the list and they would be there between 9 a.m. and 12 Noon. At 11:45 a.m. I called only to be told that not only was I not on the list but that there wasn't anything that could be done, except to reschedule - the day I am moving! This has really messed up my packing, etc. And the volunteers are extremely rude. I understand they are a charity but with the advertising, etc. and the bell ringers, and always asking for donations they really need to be more professional. I am going to donate my items to another charity and kiss the Salvation Army goodbye once and for all. They are not all they're cracked up to be.
