| - I prefer smaller gyms, but Anytime Fitness had closed down so here I am. LVAC works fine for me so far. They have all the equipment I need, and they do a good job of keeping it clean, which I appreciate. (Somebody is always cleaning something-hats off to the janitorial staff, they work hard.)
This particular gym is pretty loud. I have noise canceling headphones, and tend to have my volume up high. Yet I still hear the crap they are playing over it. Kind of annoying.
The staff is friendly enough, although the lack of eye contact is weird at the front desk. I'd attribute this to younger peeps who have been staring at their phones all day for over half their lives: They're not sure how to interact with real life human beings.
Weight are rarely re-racked. Typical gym douchebaggery...no surprises there. I just consider it part of my workout now.
One thing I do notice, and I can only speak for the men, is the lack of hand washing in the restrooms every time I'm there. (Not that it's necessarily specific to LVAC, perhaps it's a new trend among younger adults.) Coming out of the stall or leaving the urinal...many just walk right back out to the floor. Apparently the bulk of these vat born, inked up half-wits believe their sweaty genitalia is the cleanest part of their body, so no hand washing required? Either way, since these pinheads are acutely unaware of staph infections, norovirus, hepatitis A and various other nosocomial infections, I'd strongly recommend washing your hands thoroughly before you go home.
I'll stay until my contract is up, then find a smaller gym to join again. There isn't really anything wrong with this gym, it's just not my cup of tea. I just need weights and a treadmill at the end of the day.
