  • Got a house to rent out which I did all the fixings and added new/used appliances. Searched on craigslist, thought I 'd give the discount stores a try and see what I can get. Stopped by Mannys after checking out a few places in the downtown area. We looked around, I picked out my fridge, washer/dryer/, and microwave. Prices were fair. I even got a discount on 50 off the microwave because it was dented on the side. Total price was about 1300, which I paid in cash with 200 deposit. On day of delivery, Juan, not sure his name, but it was not Manny himself, calls me and says the fridge I had picked had an ice maker problem, so he did substitute it with a similar fridge. What I really should have done was skip the fridge purchase. Turns out, the replacement fridge was a lemon and had more than once source of problems. They even came out 2x since it was under the 3 month warranty, but both times have failed to fix the problems. I finally used my warranty to get it done right, after so many tries. The place knows how to work it, and replace your original items with the ones with problems. I recommend others to think twice and ignore this business. If things do sound too good to be true, go with your gut and move on. I will never be back here again.
