NOW I KNOW WHERE TO GO WHILE THE SHEEPLE STAND IN LINE IN 110 DEGREE HEAT IN OLD TOWN GILBERT !
My girl and i left the bbq joint with a 20ft line and Oregeno's wirh people sweating outside and tried out the Groves grill. Right down the block.
I had the patty melt and my fiance had the prime rib sandwich.
The fries are rough cut home made and are delicious.
The only way i can describe both sandwiches is love.....because both of those had love in them.
The patty melt was delicious with sauteed red onions and the prime rib was served with au ju and horse radish sauce.
They also serve breakfast and do 2.25 domestic beers and food for happy hour.
But hey.....if you like being a hipster and standing on line...go for it!!
Update: 8/16/14
Just had my first breakfast at the groves on a sunday morning in August.
The place was packed and the staff did a great job at handling the masses.
Good coffee, home fries and pancakes.
They are huge and a short stack is only 2.....huge portion!
Their cinny buns are the size of a bowling ball!! Look out!!
Sadly, i will not be able to get near this place in snowbird season if it is packed in august. :(
