  • I really wanted to enjoy this restaurant because there are so many great reviews! We got to Crepe Expectations on Saturday morning, so of course we were expecting it to be busy! There was a line out of the door. The restaurant is set up where you order your food, then (if available) find a seat. There were no open seats, however we didn't want to place an order to go. There was a waiter going through the line asking who was placing to go orders and who was wanting to eat there. I informed him we wanted to eat there, so he told us to get out of the line and wait. We waited for around ten minutes, then he came back and told us to get back in line? It was very confusing. I noticed he had done this with a couple other people as well. After we ordered we were told to wait again for an open table. Unfortunately it was cold outside so we didn't want to take an open table outside. After fifteen minutes we got seated, and we were seated right by the kitchen. Right next to our table was a drip coffee section, people who ordered drip were advised to come ask for a cup and get their own coffee. I noticed everyone who was trying to get their coffee were very confused as to what they need to be doing. They would try to get someone from the kitchen's attention, but everyone in the kitchen were so busy that no one was available to get the customer's cups. We got our food, and it was great! I do understand why everyone raves about the food. We got a couple crepes that looked great and were enjoyable to eat. It was also neat to see the chefs making your crepes! However, it was not worth the unorganized trouble that we went through. This restaurant would benefit from changes that need to be made! It looks like they recently changed locations, so maybe what they were doing worked for them at their previous location, but with the current location and set up of the building what they are doing definitely doesn't work. The main suggestion I have is setting the drip coffee station at the front and the person taking their order gives them a mug and directs them to the drip station right next to them. Another suggestion I have is to possibly allow people to sit down before taking orders, if they are staying and not placing an order to go. The order process was very confusing and even the waiter trying to keep it organized was all over the place! With a few adjustments, I could definitely see myself enjoying my experience here more.
