  • I enjoy walking my dog here whenever I can. The trail starts at the parking lot then winds around the pond and up towards the SRP canal, where you can then get some good views of the valley and keep hiking into Papago if you want to keep going or experience some changes in terrain. The little lake is beautiful - I often see people fishing in it and have spotted some pretty big catfish! Whether I would eat them or not is another question - probably not? The mini ducks and other creatures are pretty fun to watch as well. I feel like, generally, this is a safe and pleasant park to hike or picnic in, and it's super convenient for those of us who live in the area.
