Planning my trip to Vegas was relatively easy. Booking activities, reserving restaurants, these were all pretty quick. Choosing a hotel, however, was surprisingly difficult. Every hotel on the strip has its own distinctive personality. I'm not a big gambler and knew I didn't want to be choking on smoke fumes 24/7 so that narrowed the choices down. I also didn't have an elaborate budget but I was hoping for a modern hotel with decent amenities. Vdara popped up on my radar and no one I knew had heard of the place before. I took a risk. It looked nice, met all my bullet points and man am I glad I chose this place.
Pros:
-beautiful and modern decor
-extremely helpful and accommodating staff
-close proximity to sightseeing
-complimentary shuttle
-super clean. low-key clientele, no one obnoxious
Cons:
-since is it on the modern side, perhaps some would consider it to not have a lot of distinctive character? I personally didn't mind since I knew I could still visit the other hotels without having to stay at them.
-gym is a little packed all the time (especially at 6am)
I personally loved my stay. The front desk way always so helpful and accommodating. The cleaning service was fantastic. The rooms are very spacious and I felt so at home. They've got fridges and kitchenettes so it was nice not having to buy every single meal and drink outside. No complimentary coffee unfortunately but there's a Starbucks and bakery in the lobby. Highly recommended especially if you want a smoke-free and casino-free resort.
