| - Lovely stay just south of the main strip - it'll take you 15-20 minutes drive.
I preferred staying away from the Vegas Strip because it was quiet, lots of regular dining options at any price point, ease of getting around, and getting away from crowds.
There are numerous nearby restaurants, nail spas, and grocery stores to make you feel at home. Staying in this area, you'd never know the Vegas area has not fully recovered from the recession with all the shops and dining options filled with people and looking so fresh and new.
The hotel itself is clean, smoke-free, the rooms are spacious (friends and I shared a 2-bedroom suite), and service is friendly. The complimentary breakfast was well-stocked with dry cereal, lukewarm hot water, hot breakfast options (breakfast biscuit sandwiches, sausage, potatoes), and make your own waffles. One morning there was yogurt and oatmeal, the next there wasn't. If you don't see it, ask, and they replenish it quickly.
If you don't mind driving and need a bit of peace and quiet in the city that never sleeps, then this is a great option.
