| - Well, be assured if you don't have medical coverage to their liking. You will be told by the charge nurse that you should go to UMC to get care, as they take everyone... Then if you choose to move forward, they will give you a break down of the proposed charges for the day. If you have check, cash; no carry, then you will be seen and pushed out before you feel you were taken care of the way you expected. Still not feeling well, and before they saw me I had to pay $100 plus, after I was done they told me to check out again to pay more money!!!. What is health care all about??? I should've known when I walked in and a man was so upset that security had to come to calm him down, I had to listen to him yelling in the waiting room.
Issue is I have insurance, but they couldn't verify it, I was there last month had tests, they never follow up with your results either. Today, I asked for my results and the nurse said oh, ya, you probably had an infection the Dr. ordered you antibiotics!!!!! as I was pushed out the door! Do they understand Urgent care 3 times in the past few months!!!! Too bad UMC gets the bad reviews as they serve anyone and anything! Sad Southwest Medical has to stoop to being in the counseling business for the uninsured and underinsured if your not an HPN member you will get an earful!!!!
