| - Absolutely loved the calm, collected, and classy atmosphere of Vice Versa. Located in the lobby of the Vdara, this no-smoking haven features a full bar and plenty of social seating. Arriving late evening after playing cards at the WSOP, I was thankful this place was still serving food, as I wanted something less involved. Joining a glass Blue Moon was their ridiculously delicious Sliders, featuring beef covered with grilled onions, monster mushrooms, swiss cheese, and topped with tasty BĂ©arnaise sauce, For $14 you get two sliders with fries and they are practically a meal in itself. Service was a little slow, but there was only two servers covering the floor. You can either sit at a high-top table or sit at the bar. Next time, I will join the crowd at the bar, as it obvious the bartenders were carrying on a lively conversation with patrons. For just over $21 with one beer, this is a damn good deal for lunch, dinner, or late night. The menu also features some great options like Lobster Tacos, VV Fries, and Chicken Waffles. If I wasn't busy competing in the WSOP events, I would have shown up for the daily "Happy Afternoons". That will be one to save for next time I am in town. Vdara is a great hotel; no-smoking, with a beautiful, private pool deck and classy spa. I am glad to have an opportunity to stay at such a wonderful place that is centrally located. For those who want to avoid the typical Vegas crowds and casino atmosphere, Vdara is your place. Don't forget to request a "fountain-view" room. It's captivating looking down at the Bellagio Fountain at nighttime. I could say "tell them I sent you", but since I'm not a recognized high-roller, it probably won't do you any good. But hey, at least you will have a great time in wonderful, quiet accommodations.
