| - I created a yelp account just to write this review. Up until a point in my experience with them, I would've given this place a 4 or 5, untilI I unfortunately came across the irresponsible side of the store. I first brought my iPhone4 to replace the cracked glass The lady behind the counter tested for the proximity sensor and as expected, it blacked out when she put her finger over the prox. sensor, she said my proximity is perfect and just need the glass replaced.
As I got the phone back later, the glass did seem great, but then I realized on the left upper hand corner says 'no sim', I asked the lady about it and she said "oh maybe it's still in the back." As she came back with the SIM card in the phone this time, a call came in and she was on the phone for about 10 minutes as we waited for her to simply hand the phone to us.
Ok, all of these problems were minor, and up till this point, I probably still would've given them a 4/5 or even 5 stars.
Hours after I had the phone fixed, I realized everytime I am on a call, the mute and the speaker button would appear as if they have been pressed as I only had my face gently and barely touching the scree. Calls after calls I realized the extra sensitivity was out or hands, then I tested for the proximity sensor by putting my finger over it, and found out it was completely not functional. It would dial other contacts when I am on the phone, and it was very frustrating.
Of course, I brought it in the next day, the same lady from the other day claimed that the proximity sensor was broken before it was brought in, and said she had verbally told me, both my fiancé and I did NOT hear that, or else we would've asked her how much it is to fix and etc., My glass had been broken for 2 months, and during that 2 month period and during the two years I have had that phone, I have not had one single problem in relation to the proximity sensor, it was literally right after I walked out of that store, it was dysfunctional.
The manager did not do anything and claimed that they can't fix it. When I mentioned the SIM card problem from last time I indicated that they might've had other errors (like breaking the proximity sensor) as they have made that great mistake, she replied:
"WELL WE FINISHED YOUR PHONE TEN MINUTES EARLIER THAN WHAT WE TOLD YOU, SO WE PROBABLY JUST LEFT IT BECAUSE WE WERE RUSHING. That is why we are called Quickfix".
If I knew that they would break my proximity sensor just to have my glass fixed, I wouldve kept my shattered screen.
I have called other phone repair stores and asked and they said that it is very easy to break the proximity sensor when replacing glass. The store did not take any responsibility, they may be professional in some technical sense, but when it comes to honoring their customers and taking care of problems, they denied faults and blamed the customers. I now have to pay an extra 70 dollars to fix the proximity sensor because this place does not fix that. I would hate to see anyone else to go through that.
