rev:text	Jameson's was a regular spot for our group of friends. It was convenient in that it was close to almost everyone in our group (except me). We would usually get together here to watch hockey games. We also trusted Jameson's with a special night, but more on that later. Jameson's isn't really an Irish bar. Although, most Irish bars aren't really. If they were, you'd likely only find the Irish there, which I don't think would be enough to sustain a business in Calgary. But they certainly try and to the naked eye they pull it off. So as far as Canadian-Irish bars go, they hit the nail on the head. At it's core, Jameson's caters more to larger groups wanting to watch sports and the after work crowd. The demographic is usually pretty young and the staff are friendly and attractive. We've never had any issues with the food either. The special event I alluded to earlier was New Years Eve. We were trying to decide on a New Years Eve location for the group and hadn't really thought about Jameson's until it came up during one of our visits there. It was definitely the right choice. They had a DJ, a good selection of buffet-style food, the usual New Years trinkets and champagne at midnight. They also had other stuff near the end of the night, but at the stage of the night everything was a blur. Our server was fantastic and went to great lengths to help us embarrass the youngest guest at our table (just turned 18) who had a crush on our server. I feel bad for the kid, but our server ensured his unending embarrassment and it all made for a great night. Sadly, our group visits have stopped, but were we to start them up again I would gladly have them at Jameson's again!
