| - I wasn't aware that La Quinta Inn offered family Suites. So glad I inquired. Check in was quick and easy. Stayed in 201, which was great because it was right next to the stairway that led to the parking lot, room was in the corner- away from other rooms, and conveniently located near the ice and vending machines. Right downstairs they offered breakfast items including Belgian waffles.
The room was clean and I found extra pillows in the drawers for the pullout couch. The King size bed was comfy with a lot of pillows, good thread count on the sheets, two televisions in the suites are a life saver.
Unfortunately, upon entering the room, there was a strong smoke like smell. It honestly smelled like someone had been smoking cigarettes the entire day before we walked in. My daughter and I was taken back by it.
Shortly after checking in, the front desk made a courtesy call to make sure we were happy with our room (that was very nice). However, when I inquired about the smell, I was only told that they would check on the smell tomorrow for me. Tomorrow? I was only there until tomorrow. We decided to turn on the AC and let it air out while we went to get dinner and a movie in town. When we got back, it still smelled.
Other than the strong stench of cigarettes, and no help with that, our stay was nice. We will be giving La Quinta another try for sure.
