| - After a trip to Hoover dam, the fam and I were starving, so we decided to check out this lunch buffet at Railroad Pass. This was probably the worst mistake of the trip. Yes, the buffet was only, seriously, $7/person, but I now understand why. Ugh.
The theme of the buffet was "Asian" food, so I knew it wouldn't end well. No one should really cook "Asian" food unless they are actually Asian. (....and I'm pretty sure the chefs were there not of any sort of Asian descent.) I lightly sampled some of the "safe" foods, like orange chicken, beef and broccoli, pot stickers and fried rice. Mistakes. All of them.
I then opted for the sandwich bar and scarfed down some roast beef. I left feeling pretty ill (like, really), so I'm not sure if I can attribute that feeling to the food or to sun poisoning. Either way, I still can't bring myself to eat a roast beef sandwich without associating it with this buffet. So, in conclusion, if you are starving and you pass this place, please keeeep on moving and get back to Vegas ASAP to enjoy a GOOD buffet.
