| - Stayed 3 nights, I'm not super picky, but I can't say I would stay again in its current state. I think the location is great, it's real close to the new upcoming part of Downtown Vegas. Checking-in and parking was easy, and the staff friendly. The remodel is hipster, fun, with a lot of large games, like cornhole, connect 4, Jenga with logs, Skittleball , etc. The café Fiddlesticks has awesome cookies, and the coffee not bad. The bar there is okay, only 1 bartender to handle the crowd, and he wasn't into hurrying. The problem with the hotel is not much care has been put into maintaining the remodel. It looks and smells like some REALLY hard partying has taken place here, and the staff can only do so much cleaning to keep up with the destruction. Management hasn't spent the $$ it takes to keep up the décor, and a lot of the hotel looks already destroyed. The elevator reeked badly of weed every time we used it, not to mention super slow and dirty. The hallways smelled like old hotel, and is torn up. The room décor was ok, but the furniture was torn up, shower curtain stained, and I wish there was more bed pillows. The bed sheets were 2 flats, not a fitted, causing the bottom sheet to pull up into a mess. No iron, but there is a blow dryer and toiletries, which I didn't use. There is a band that plays in the back every night. Last time I stayed in Vegas it was next door, and I could handle how loud it was at night. At the Golden Spike it's OMG loud, and it kept waking me up even with heavy drinking that night. How about splurging for some noise baffling windows with the remodel instead of offering earplugs? Needless to say, I like how Downtown LV has changed, but I'm not staying there again.
