  • This is my favourite theatre in the city... They have a good balance between Hollywood blockbusters and independent films, so you get the best of both worlds. The theatres are in good shape and the sound is good. The concession area is also a highlight as they have frozen yogurt in case you don't feel like popcorn and other junk food. In my opinion, the best part about Varsity is their VIP theatres. They only cost something like 3-4 dollars more than a regular ticket, but you get to sit in reclining leather seats and someone will actually take a food order before the movie starts. I think these little theatres hold about 30-40 people, so it's definitely an intimate way to catch a film. If the movie I want to see is playing in the VIP then you can bet I'm upgrading.
