| - AVOID SERVICE KING !!!!
Service King claims to have a national warranty on the repairs but from what I have experienced it is just false marketing. Just gives lip service and does not 'fix' anything.
Short story:
Car damaged in hail March of 2016, just like 18000 other cars.
Insurance appraisal happens in 'crisis' mode, due to large number of cars.
Was told that maybe in September or October they could fix my car.
Had windshield replaced in May (soonest they could).
Fast forward to July
Drove the car to Service King in Mesa AZ. (Yes, two states away) They gave me rental and had the car for 3 weeks.
When I got the car back I was moving to DC and had to drive to AZ and back to TX and then to DC.
The car was several colors of white and seriously had issues. Weld marks on the roof replacement is visible and they painted the mirrors, glass, gas cap, and door seals. The bumper is chipping paint and not the OEM.(Does not fit correctly) Windshield was replaced a second time and they got glass all over the interior. They forgot to order the toll tag and inspection sticker for Texas. (It now needs to be replaced a third time because the seal does not go all the way across the car.) Window tint was put on too low, (AZ rules and not TX rules) and DMV in Texas removed the tint. This needs to be replaced now correctly for TEXAS laws.
Service King said it was 'fixed' and when I questioned them they said they could fix it, just take a few more days.I gave them one more day, but they could not take care of all the items.
They said they would detail and vacuum all the glass and fix the color and over spray and other items. All I got on extra repair day was a 'buffing' of the color. I still have glass dust on the dash and the carpet.
I did not have time to wait on poor quality, and Sevice King said they had a lifetime warranty, just take it to Service King near DC.
Fast forward to November after the move to DC.
Drove by Service King in Maryland spoke to the manager, set up an appointment for first few days in December and was told all would be fixed.
Drove 50 miles to drop off the car in December, and was told needed the insurance claim reopened and it would take days for an adjuster to look at the car and there was no rental and I had to pay for it.
I still don't have a fixed car 'Equal to or better than' prior to the hail and insurance company is now engaged to find a new shop.
I did get a call from a regional manager and he was going to "fix it personally". Apologized and gave lip service. Now we wait........
UPDATE:
I got a VP from Service King to contact me and they apologized and picked up my car in Maryland and towed it to Virginia. They called Enterprise and got me a rental. The Service manager from Virginia has been very polite and helpful.
It has gone a week and I have been told they did an inspection on the car and there are issues with the car and they will fix everything plus other items they found that I did not see.
Now I got a call from Enterprise stating Service King retracted their payment and is not paying for the rental and is demanding the car back. I have emailed Service King .....
Now we wait.......
