  • After 3 years as a medical patient not a recreational just to get high patient. I have quite a few medical illnesses which require different medications for my different symptoms. Before recreational this was the SPOT for me. Because of love of the mighty dollar...took the empathy away I felt this establishment had. So I've had to continue else where looking for love for the less fortunate and disabled. Which I have to say really appreciated my 10% for verified disability, thank you. But on my search for a new dispensary I realized there's a lot of owners just like this one. Peace & Love UPDATE 8-24-2017 As my search for affordable meds continues. I left Essence when recreational became legal. I went back to Silver Sage Wellness because they offered medical patients tax free meds, they are paying our taxes. Well since recreational is legal now the supply and demand has taken this industry to a new kind of desperation for the patients and owners. The lack of meds at Silvet Sage had me thinking about my great experience always at Essence. I found myself entering the doors of Essence @ Trop once again. As I walked in i noticed a line for medical and one for recreational, that made me happy. As I went through the second doors into the "medicine cabinet" there was also a separate line for medical patients. The line for recreational was long and I was the only one in line. I didn't wait but a minute and Quan asked what I needed well did he get an earful. But he said don't trip I got u. He told me of this awesome discount they have going on for locals, seniors, vets & disabled. Before recreational I was given 10% off for disabled. But now for us it breaks down like this: Disabled plus local member gets you a 20% discount. Proper local I.D./proof. All locals get a 10% discount, including recreational members. If you're a local, vet, senior member you can get up to 40% off. I have to go where I can for affordability. But I also have to have quality. Essence has never let me down in that area. Check out all they have to offer oils, topicals, edibles, vapes, wax etc. Stop the stigma of weed heads. I have seen all ages all kinds reach for natural not chemical forms of medicine.
