| - Can't believe I've never come here before! I suppose I just didn't have faith in a French-sounding restaurant to have vegetarian options.
We came as a large (20 person) group on a Tuesday. According to our host, who made the reservation, he had already selected the menu for us ahead of time.
They started with a large plate of hummus with roasted cauliflower and an herby cucumber salad, with pita chips. The hummus could have used more lemon, but the cauliflower and salad were perfect.
We were then each given a choice of a house salad and the wild mushroom consommé - I went for the consommé and really enjoyed it - it's vegan!
After that came a series of large plates, family style. We had a roasted acorn squash with blue cheese, roasted mushrooms with vegetable ragu, and eggplant roll-ups with cheese and pesto. I was so happy at the variety and quality of the vegetarian options. They also brought out meat dishes which the omnivores at the table raved about.
For dessert, we chose between flourless chocolate cake and pecan pie. I went for the pecan pie, and it was perfection.
I did not pay (it was a party), but looking at the regular menu, I think the price point is quite reasonable. The staff was very attentive, and even though there was another large group, the setting felt quite cozy and intimate. Would definitely return!
