  • I used 2 White Guys as our landscaping company for 4 months. My initial experience with the company was positive; Dane responded to my request for a quote in a timely manner, came out and explained everything that would be included, and gave me what I considered a reasonable price. It was all downhill from there. I repeatedly had to call to ask about the price we'd negotiated, as his crew would leave invoices for the wrong amount and Dane just said to ignore it (so why were they being left?). I also noticed that the crew wouldn't do weeding, pick up leaves/sticks/pinecones, etc - things I'd expect to get done on every visit. Dane did send out a crew once on an "off" week to pick up what they'd missed the week before after I called to complain. The last straw was that Dane told me irrigation system repair was included in the price, and his crew would check regularly to ensure there were no leaks. I asked if I'd need to turn on the system so they could check since the controls were in the garage, and he said they could turn it on externally. After months of leaks I called him several times to ask about it and didn't get a response for a week. I cancelled the service because I saw no point in paying money for a service I clearly wasn't receiving. Dean claimed his crew didn't fix the system because they didn't know it was broken and I should have said something. Well, that's why I asked about turning it on in the first place! To his credit, Dane didn't charge me for the final service date, but I definitely wasted plenty of money paying for awful service until that point.
