Please note that I'm giving only 1 star not to the dog park but to the dog owner who brought her dog into the park on a leash and managed to bite my pup that was just being friendly and do what dogs do and sniff other dogs that come into the park.
I've been coming to this dog park since last summer with my pup rottweiler that is about to turn 9 months and enjoyed it every time. I get compliments from other dog owners how friendly my pup is.
The incident occurred really fast and don't understand why the dog owner would bring their dog in on a leash the whole time if their dog is aggressive. At first, I thought her dog just barked and growled at mine and didn't think nothing of it. But when my pup came back to me whimpering, I noticed a small puncture on the side of her head.
About a week has gone by and I noticed a size of a golf ball swelled up where she got bitten. I immediately took her to the vet and the vet said the dog bite caused a bacterial infection. The vet prescribed antibiotics and the swelling went down after a few days since I caught the infection early.
I really want to come back to this dog park but since this happened, I can't trust other dog owners that are not being responsible for their dog's behavior.
