  • How we ended up here is not the point. We just needed a place to stay for one night. So, at about 10:30 pm, we ventured into this place. The desk clerk said they had nine rooms left. We needed two, so why did they give us one great room and one crappy(literally. . .keep reading) room for the same ridiculous price? The crap location was in a corner on the ground floor and overlooked a patio with a water hose. The toilet had a little gift in it!! Really!?? The good room was on the third floor and had a decent view. The desk clerk was seriously lacking people skills. Her attitude let us know she couldn't care less if they had our business or not. I do not remember her making eye contact with us after her initial monotone "How can I help you. . .". No smile or anything. They charge a mandatory $20 "resort fee" for things like using the pool. They also charge for local calls, which I am pretty sure I haven't seen since about 1988. Oh but wait!! Maybe I am in a time warp, as the decor tells me I am at my granny's house in the Eighties! From the grandma bedspreads to the dark-wood fancy-framed mirror, I would guess this is exactly where I have landed. We need some serious updating here. Well, I rarely give one-star reviews, but this place sucked. If I had to find something nice to say, I guess it would be "nice cotton sheets.". Maybe if we would have hung around past 8 am the next morning, I would have found more positives, but thankfully we high-tailed it to a better place ASAP.
