| - I've lived in Brazil for 2 1/2 years, worked at a Brazilian Steakhouse and been to many gatherings for Barbeque at Brazilian friends' home's over the years, and while this place is not perfect, it is very good.
Food quality: 4.5 Stars I can see. taste, smell the freshness and quality of every cut of meat and the salad bar.
Service quality: 4.5 Stars Front desk is average. Gauchos and Servers are great.
Price: 3 Stars If dinner was $30 or $35, we would probably go up to 10 times a year. As it is, I can only justify going 1-2 times per year, outside of when they send me a coupon.
WHY SO MANY POTATOES???? Scalloped, baked, potato salad, mashed, etc. Trying to fill us up so we don't eat so much meat?
I thoroughly appreciate the salad bar, even though i only put a few things on my plate before i let the meat finish me off.
All of the meats are prepared with great attention and detail. I even was able to try the leg of lamb and lamb chops.
Picanha and the Filet Mignon were my absolute favorites, while the sausage was unique and tasty too.
Take your time and don't let them run you out before you are done. At times, I feel they are trying to just turn over my table. When i am footing a bill well over $100, i feel like i should feel the service saying "fica a vontade", which is not always the case.
I will likely return for my birthday...or any other time they send me a coupon.
Fogo, thanks for "matando saudades" of Brazil for me.
Obrigado.
