My husband and I booked a room for our anniversary staycation. I specifically booked a deluxe room with one king bed. Upon check-in, the front desk gentleman asked what the nature of our visit was so we told him it was our anniversary weekend. When we get up to the room, there's two full sized beds. I assumed it was a simple mistake so I called downstairs. The front desk girl had said that the manager was busy and that I would have better luck if I was to come down to the check-in area to speak with her directly so I did. I spoke with the manager on duty Jennifer, who was very unhelpful. She said there was nothing that she could do about it as rooms are not guaranteed and they are given out on a first come first serve basis. I'm not sure if this is normal Golden Nugget hotel practices, but it shouldn't be. I expect to get what I'm paying for and if I wanted two full sized beds, I would've made that choice when I reserved the room. Luckily, I'm local so rather than spending the weekend having to sleep in separate beds my husband and I chose to cancel our reservation and go home to where we would be able to sleep together comfortably.
