| - I went here for brunch this past sunday.
The waffles were awesome. Light, fluffy, moist on the inside, slightly crisp on the exterior.
The bacon waffles, dipped in maple syrup, were quite enjoyable.
The eggs benny (poached eggs with caramelized bacon, atop the aforementioned awesome waffles, covered in hollandaise sauce) were amazingly well-balanced, no one element dominated, the flavors and textures were in harmony. The relative quantities were also perfect: there was just the right amount of waffle to soak up all the hollandaise and egg-yolk, no more, no less! And amazingly, despite the ingredients involved, the dish felt light overall--not at all heavy.
The strawberry craze waffles were great (though not as exceptional). Despite being a little bit soggy from all the whipped cream, strawberry jam, and strawberry sauce, they were still very satisfying. More importantly, they were neither too sweet, nor too heavy; just right!
I also had a chai latte (which I suspect was sweetened with honey): nothing special, but nevertheless pleasant.
Service was attentive and understanding.
I don't typically like "brunch," but I may have a soft spot for good waffles... and for good waffles with bacon hidden in them!
