| - Cheap but unsanitary. They reuse the acetone. I hope health Canada pays them a visit.
Very cheap $30 for a very basic manicure and pedicure. This is not a relaxing event, rather a quick nail file and polish application. On a good day they do the cuticles properly, however if there are people waiting, they rush and do not do a proper job. They never buff the feet correctly. The owner always seems to be angry at the workers, which further reduces any hope you had of relaxing. They give you a 10% discount if you pay cash which makes me wonder if they pay proper HST.
I came here many time before because it is cheap and convenient but I will not go back again after today. While getting my Shellac manicure removed I had to soak my fingers in a bowl of acetone. Usually better establishments put a cotton ball soaked in acetone on top of your nails do that you do not have to soak your whole finer in unhealthy acetone. But fine, they are cheap. However, as I was waiting, I noticed that the acetone had a reddish color and that there were small reddish bits at the bottom of the bowl. My nail polish was beige, and so I realized that they are actually re-using the acetone bowl and the red bits is someone's old nail polish!!! EEEEEEEEWWWWWWWWWWWW !!!!!!! I asked them about this, and they pretended that there is nothing wrong but changed the bowl!!! So unsanitary! I hope Health Canada pays them a visit. I tried to explain how unsanitary this is, however most of the ladies that work there do not speak English, so there is no hope of communicating with them. I have tried several times, but it is pointless.
