We were SO excited to visit this restaurant. The atmosphere - especially on the bar side is great. Good music, dim lights, etc. Very pretty restaurant overall. However, the service was by far the worst we have ever experienced in Pittsburgh, The wine list was disappointing - very pricy and there is no one on staff (we were there on a Friday evening) who could speak intelligently about the wine. We explained to the server what we were looking for - ordered a $95 bottle of wine which took 25 minutes for them to bring to us. Agh!!! Then, it was not decanted and it tasted like vinegar. So disappointing.
We ate the sushi - this was surprisingly good for an italian restaurant. It is just missing something - it is not Umi or Penn Ave just yet. Our waitress forgot part of our order and we just said forget it. After two hours, bad wine and no attention we had had enough.
I really want to like this place. It is evident that the owners spent a lot of time, energy and money in constructing. Please Please Please work out the kinks!!!
