  • I had the most unpleasant experience dealing with the owner of this salon, Denise. When I called because I had not received the text message confirmation of my appointment which is usually sent a few times, days before my appointment (I had previously patronized the salon twice and knew of this practice because I received texts last month and the month before ) she "tried" to convince me that I had called the day before and changed my appointment to the next day and of course my appointment was conveniently "already booked to someone else". Well, the next day didn't work for me as I had to attend a doctor appointment with my husband (so her story about me calling to change it to the next day was a complete lie because I could not have scheduled that time because it conflicted with my husband's medical appointment. Denise first offered to "check" her caller ID for the number of the person who supposedly called, stating they were me and changed my appointment. When I agreed with her offer and said I would like to see the phone number she became nasty and said she would be forced to cancel my appointment because she didn't want "this" in her salon - whatever " this" means. I told her to check with Melissa, the stylist who cut and colored my hair the previous two months and I am sure melissa would tell her I was the "nicest person in the world", because I am a very nice person. She then said ok, come the next day (as I was going to try to have my daughter take my husband to the doctor). But after careful consideration, I decided I could no longer patronize the salon due to Denise's rude behavior and total lack of professionalism. I am sorry to lose a great stylist though because Melissa is great (hence the one star - that is for Melissa, she is wonderful and that's why I tipped her $50 on a $120 salon service). As far as Denise goes, she needs to learn some common courtesy and diplomacy - if she wants to retain customers because this one decided to go elsewhere. And btw, when I called another very wonderful salon in Scottsdale, I was greeted in a warm, friendly manner and they " squeezed" me in so I could have my hair done, as needed, to attend two functions...to Denise and her salon, Moda forte! good bye and good riddance...
