| - I can't wait to move away from this property. Things started off well. I quickly begin to have maintenance issues, my air unit went out 3 times in the first couple of months, there was a short in the kitchen light tract, and The front door was not properly sealed ( you could basically see outside). My biggest issue was the upstairs neighbor to make a long story less long besides her annoying, too big dog I realized the apartments were poorly built. My poor upstairs neighbor was just walking normal but in my apartment it sounded like she was leading a marching band. Everything is paper thin you can hear everything around you as well as outside. This complex was built only a couple of years ago, cheaply. Anyway they offered me the opportunity to move to an upstairs unit which I did. Now begins the real foolery. We were promised the apartment at the end of December a week before we were told that the person who lived in that apartment was not ready to move out and we were asked to move our date back. How tacky, that resident should have been required to leave at the time they gave originally no questions asked. I fought and even though it was a two day turnaround we were able to move in on time, I let management know that I was going to be lenient if things were not perfect in the apartment because of the fast turnaround but I still expected things to work properly. We moved it on a Friday it was New Year's eve but my sink had issues ,water would not drain the disposal made loud noises and I tried to send emails and put in request but that issue did not get resolved until I was here for almost a week and a half. You can imagine how annoying it is to not be able to use your kitchen sink for that long, unacceptable. By this time you can imagine that the whole leasing office staff can't stand me, i can hear it in their voice and see it in their face. I simply just want to be able to use the functions of my apartment I don't think that I was asking for anything crazy in the lease it states that all maintenance request will be dealt with within 24 to 48 hours clearly that is not the case. Also the resident who lived in this apartment had lived here since the apartment complex opened. These apartments are built cheaply and everything in them are cheap. I noticed the comment below that spoke about the cheap appliances the cheap fixtures, cabinets peeling, all of these things are true there's also mold growing in the sprayer on the sink. I can acknowledge that I believe at this apartment complex over the years has been through a couple different management teams but things have fallen behind the appearance of the cabinets and some of the cheap fixtures/appliances and even to the walls and the carpet is pitiful for a apartment complexion this area. I lived in nicer complexes in the university area.My biggest issue with both apartments is the carpet I have never in my life walked on carpet where nails so frequently are exposed you essentially have to watch your step. In the first apartment the door had a gap in this second apartment the door has less of a gap and it takes super strength to be able to lock and unlock the door which in time of urgency could be an issue. Also there is trash everywhere along the steps, there has been a box of ice cream sandwiches underneath the stairwell for weeks at this point. The latest of the issues this past Friday, I work from home and there's all the sudden banging on the side of the building. Apparently they're changing the siding on the building and the leasing office didn't feel like it was important to tell the residents that they're going to be 3 to 4 men outside of your window banging and talking loud on the side of the building. I called leasing office to ask when they will finish this noisy task, she puts me on hold comes back and responds that they're doing air quality control and it should only take them 20 minutes. I said no ma'am that's not what they're doing they are taking apart the side of the building she clearly had no idea, she clearly had no good answer I hung up the phone. It's Monday they're back banging on the side of my apartment still there has been no communication about what is going on, when it will be done, or anything. May cannot come fast enough. There are more than enough apartment complexes on this street alone I would not touch this one with a 10 foot pole nor would I suggest it.
