  • I'm moving out of Camden Copper Square soon, and although I wasn't planning on reviewing the place, after seeing some other apartment complexes and hearing horror stories (I work in public health and receive calls about extensive water and mold damage ALL THE TIME), I felt like I had to leave a positive review. I would've left a 5, but I thought that would be misleading since I'm moving out. Pros: - Maintenance is quick, thorough, and polite. When I had an emergency situation (refrigerator stopped working), they came within a few hours. The only issue I ever had was when I got a notification about a work order that I didn't put in; however, when I called property management, they canceled the work order immediately and management called me back to apologize. - The transition is easy. I moved to Camden sight unseen, and my leasing agent Bethany (who no longer works here, unfortunately) took pictures of every room and went through to take measurements so I would have accurate dimensions to work with in trying to plan out my furniture. -The community, for the most part, is pretty quiet. My s/o and I like to grill, and we've always been able to find an open grill, and usually also an open pool (for the hours we go). I've also never had a problem finding a machine to use in the gym. - Parking is pretty easy. There were some issues finding parking when the different garages were under construction, but other than that, I've always been able to find a space on my floor of the garage. There's also always more than enough parking spots for guests, which is nice. - Although it's not the best part of town, we really loved having a Circle K right across the road for a quick snack or to replenish on snacks and drinks when friends are over. It's also nice to be able to walk to downtown (in the winter) and save up on those parking fees. Cons: - Although the walls are fine for the most part, you can definitely hear people yelling in the halls sometimes, and hear a lot from your upstairs neighbors. I'm pretty sure my upstairs neighbor puts their phone on the floor at night, and I hear the vibrations most mornings. Footsteps are also pretty loud. I got used to it quickly, but my friends always note how annoying it is when they come over. - There are a lot of fees. My listed rent is around $1200, but with required amenities, utilities, and my cat, I spend about 1600 every month. I knew this when I signed the lease, but I don't think it really hit me how expensive all of these things are and how they aren't that great. Yes, it's theoretically awesome to not have to bring your trash to the dumpster with valet trash, but because I'm never done cooking by 6pm and valet trash doesn't run on weekends, I end up taking my trash out on my own most nights.
