| - My brand new husband and I stayed here three nights after getting a super-awesome Priceline deal using the Name Your Own Price feature Priceline offers. We live in the Cleveland Area but opted for a staycation since we're really frugal (read: cheap).
Although we like to pinch our pennies we prefer upscale, high-class amenities. Seems like an oxymoron, I know, but we are an oxymoronic duo.
When we arrived at the Suites around midnight the valet who greeted us was very nice and professional. When we inquired on the difference between the hotel's valet parking service ($16/day, unlimited car retrieval no extra charge) and the self service lot ($10 per entry) he gave us all of the information we needed to make a decision. We chose the valet service since we planned to use the car several times a day. To retrieve your car just call the desk from your suite and provide your ticket number and your ride will be waiting when you get downstairs. (note: don't forget to tip a dollar or so when you pickup your car each time).
Our room was very clean and modern. The size and layout of our king suite was as a one bedroom apartment, minus the stove.
There is a small fridge and a microwave in a kitchenette area. Be sure to bring your own plates and utensils as only drinking cups and coffee mugs are provided. (note: We asked the C2 restaurant on the first floor to borrow place settings. They initially wanted to charge us $6 per setting, which we thought was ridiculous, but when we started to walk away they decided to allow us to have them at no charge).
The bedding is plush and the pillows are amazing (two types, firm and soft for the picky type). We loved the pillows so much we ran out to Bed Bath and Beyond and bought some for home the next week!
There are two flat screen TV's, one in the bedroom and one in the sitting area. There is a mini island / workstation / dining space that served the two of us perfectly at in-room meal times.
The bathroom is HUGE with a separate vanity area. Soaps and lotions provided. Towels are plush and replaced when requested or daily if you place them on the floor before housekeeping comes.
We had good intentions to use the workout area and pool, but decided to eat at C2, the Chicago Deli, and Hot Sauce Williams instead. (all within walking distance)
Loved our stay and would do it again if we could get the same deal through priceline!!
