  • Let me start by saying that AATV tours is the flipping bomb... Came here with my two friends who had a groupon coupon and it was the best way to spend my Saturday. The tour started with us girls getting picked up at the Excalibur hotel at 11AM by the owner of the company. The ride was about 40 mins and it was a bit past the Valley of fire. We got to our destination and it took an additional 45 mins to wait for the rest of the tour to arrive and get settled in and trained. The actual off roading was 3 hours long and it was the most jam packed fun 3 hours of my life... really!!! About 1.5 to 2 hours into our off roading we took a 25 minute break. The group was provided lunch and bottled water. We took in the beautiful sights at that pit stop and then headed on to the rest of our venture. At this point I have nothing to add as a negative to AATV tours themselves, but will state that there was a couple who was a major pain in the A**. From the start we [all] had a chance to pick our ATV's and who we wanted to ride by... but from the looks of it someone in the group didn't get the "memo". At every turn we took a mini break from the off roading the knuckle head dude kept asking my friend over and over again about switching vehicles then when we tried to negotiate to help the wife said NO and then the whole crap started over again. So our journey ended by having the guy go in front of us 3 girls and having to inhale all the flippin' smog from his crapped out ATV... fantastic! Ok, rant over but here are a few tips for the newbie's... TIPS: 1.Someone wants to switch? Not your problem, let them figure it out so ur trip will stay fun. 2.Bring your most worn out shoes and jeans because you will get super dirty. Wear socks that cover your ankles to protect them from getting motor burn. 3.Wear glasses and bring a bandana for the long haired peeps who don't want bad tangles. 4.Bring extra snacks such as nuts or protein bars because the lunch won't be enough for the extra hungry foodies. 5.Be mentally prepared to be out the whole day. Our ATV trip from beginning to end including meet up and drop off at the hotel 10AM to 6PM. All in all everything was great and I would definitely do it again!
