  • The tech that came to my home did a great job. He was professional, took the time to explain everything and was very thorough. My 3 star rating comes from the fact that when my car insurance contacted Safelite for me they were quoted a price that was HUNDREDS more than when I went on the internet and scheduled it myself. Safelite seems to be charging a LOT more when they know auto insurance is involved and unfortunately I would have been the one to pay the extra cost since my deductible was $500 (and the insurance company was going to be paying over $200). I paid less than $400 when I scheduled my own service and paid without using my insurance. Buyer beware! I was also a little surprised that I had to wait 2 days for an appointment (in store or at my home). It is dangerous to drive around with a cracked windshield!
