| - What a great experience!!!
We stopped in to this place for a few drinks and a little bit to eat, and we were very pleased with our choice of destination.
The Zombie cocktail was to die for - don't let the tiki theme fool you into thinking that all their drinks are going to be sweet with fresh fruit juices, this drink had a Campari-like bitterness to it, which the server alerted me to, it was awesome!!
She also told us that every sauce and condiment and bar mixer is made in-house, and you can tell!
We started with teriyaki wings and General Tso-flavored crispy pig ears (unbelievable) and finished with fish tacos and BBQ pork tacos, both very successful.
A few minutes after we sat down, the ambiance changed, the flat screen displays of tiki island scenes went darker and there was a "thunderstorm", funny enough that it happened when the folks at the bar ordered a "Dark & Stormy" drink. I guess the lighting and screens are intelligent ambiance lighting with the sound integrated, great idea without being gimmicky.
Every drink has its own tiki-style glass or mug, the attention to detail in every aspect was pretty amazing.
