| - I participated in the 2011 Earth Hour Show. The only people who showed up to the reception were myself, some of my friends, my parents, and 2 other artists in the show. When I pay a gallery fee, I expect the gallery to use that money to promote the show. It was quite embarrassing that no one showed up, and I hope the gallery owner was embarrassed as well.
To top it off, the owner is highly unprofessional. I arrived on time on the designated day to drop off my work. The owner was not there, and had a friend come to watch the gallery. This "friend" didn't know anything about the show or what I should do with my artwork. Not a good start.
When the show was over, I drove down to pick up my work on the designated day at the designated time. The owner was surprised I was there to pick up my work, and then he says "Oh, but we've had some interest in your work!" Well, you have my e-mail, you should have told me before I drove over an hour to get here. Needless to say, I took off with my work in a hurry. How can YOU send me an e-mail telling me when to pick up my work, and be CONFUSED when I actually come to pick them up?
I quite honestly don't know how this place is still in business. I think the owner should stick to his yoga classes and life drawing lessons instead.
