Several months ago, while traveling, I called Red Rose Florist in a cold, cold night. The voice on the other side was warm and welcoming. It was about 7 pm in Calgary. I had totally forgotten to send flowers to my mother for her birthday.
It was a long shot but I decided to ask anyway. I asked her if it was still possible to send flowers that evening.
She informed me that the last driver had already left but she will contact him
to see if he could come back. She took my name and number (long distance) and told me she will call me back.
The call came sooner than I expected. She told me that their regular driver
was too far to come back and that she had called others. One of them, (although off duty) had agreed to come and pick up the flowers and deliver it
to my elderly mother.
The flowers were there within the hour. My mother told me that the nice lady (with a french accent) had called her first and reassured her that the driver was arriving soon. She mentioned his name, described the vehicle and the driver and wished her a happy birthday.
The flowers she said, were beautiful and they certainly put a smile on my mother.
I am sincerely grateful and touched. We are all consumers but we are also human beings. Red Rose Florist has a key that many other don't. Thank you so much!!
