I really don't like yelp or doing this in general but I felt it necessary after my experience at V's. I came to V's as a walk in and was assigned a barber right away. No wait, which is nice and rare these days. But what followed was a major disappointment. I asked for a simple fade on the sides nothing off the top (a haircut I get routinely and know how it should look) and even showed my barber photos of what I wanted. First he starts by scraping the clippers on the back of my head so hard that I still have irritated skin from it and it's been over a week. Then he starts to criticize my hair regimen by exclaiming that I'm washing my hair all wrong because I have dandruff coming off all over the barber cape. I bet the reason I had some dandruff come off might have to do with the fact that he literally scraped my scalp off with the clippers. I cannot describe how uncomfortable that was. Next I notice that he isn't following what I asked for at all. The two sides of my head are not even at all. Not even close.....and to top it all off there was no fade happening whatsoever. Just a flat line like a shitty shorter version of a bowl cut. I bring this up and he starts to argue that it can't really be done better than that and if I wanted it to be faded more he would have to go up higher on my hair line and get pretty close to shaving the entirety of the side of my head in order to make it work. I was so bummed because of how bad it was looking I wanted anything to make it look better. I should have just walked out then. He starts to buzz my head and try and 'fade it' but he can't even do that correctly because he leaves the other side of my head the way he had before. So now I have a crooked line no fade with one side of my head shaved and the other thick and full above the line. Doesn't even bother to even them out or blend in my beard. I was so over it I got up, paid the nominal amount and went directly to another barbershop to have them fix it. I've never had a worse experience at a barbershop in my life.
