| - I am visiting the area for the holidays, and my mom and I stopped here the other day to pick up a few things.
This market is probably the closest thing to a Whole Foods type market in the area. (Whole Foods itself is 55 miles away or so... in Winston-Salem).
It's not a completely organic and/or health conscious grocer but it does fill some of the void that is missing at the local mainstream markets. For example, you can find Fage yogurt, Rachels yogurt/cottage cheese, Pacific brand stocks and soups, Amy's Organics, Vosges chocolates, fresh ground nut butters, European butter, Honest Tea, upscale fresh flowers and similar items. They also have a nice looking butcher and bakery.
Mixed in, however, are several mainstream brands like Skippy, Bisquick etc... so there is something for everyone. Though perhaps not everything for everyone.
Would I shop here if I lived in the area? Yes, probably. But I feel like I would still have to supplement a few things with a trip to Whole Foods occasionally... if I wanted to cover all my bases.
Still, I was glad to have a more interesting/healthier option nearby.
