  • Heartwood Tree Service (lived up to their already high ranking in every respect. The owner himself (Patrick) responded to my request for an estimate (I intended to get more estimates but after his visit decided to accept his on the spot.) An arborist himself, Patrick identified and referred to our trees and bushes by name, making several useful suggestions as to where and how cut or prune half a dozen trees for added protection of our roof, to provide additional light to overly shaded younger trees, and to improve the view from our home. He even offered to take some samples of apparently diseased trees back with him for analysis and diagnosis. A few days later--in fact a day earlier than tentatively agreed--a smartly uniformed and helmeted crew of three tackled our fairly extensive scope of work. They completed in about 2 1/2 hours at the agreed upon reasonable cost. Yes, it's expensive, but all tree work seems to be ( I should have saved my 8 years of college and graduate school and learned how to be a tree person!). And these guys are insured and have workman's comp so you won't get sued if someone gets hurt on your property. That COULD be worth a lot! All in all, we were impressed and would recommend this company without hesitation.
