  • Decided to stay here and take advantage of the shade over the main pool from the hotel skyscraper itself. Check in was painless despite the long line. They gave us a room that wasn't ready to be rented out, so they moved us to another room and gave us a food and drink credit for our trouble. Thanks Monte Carlo! The room was adequate. The furniture was dated. Loved the wave pool and the lazy river. The shade over the main pool made summer in Vegas at the pool tolerable. However, there are so many people lying out by the pool, you end up lying on a lounge chair literally shoulder to shoulder with everyone. No privacy and you're really packed in surrounded by dozens of others if you want to lie down and read or nap. The Street of Dreams shopping area isn't much at all. Loved the Food Court - nice to get a reasonably priced fast food meal on the Strip. Check out went OK too. Long lines for that. Good price for our room.
