  • I am editing my rating because someone from the hospital administration called after I contacted them online to ask what had happened. This individual was very apologetic and extremely professional, which I can certainly appreciate. Original post: I went to a walkin clinic on a Saturday and was told I would have to go to a hospital because 1. I didn't have insurance and 2. I most likely needed pain medicine beyond what they were able to prescribe. I was in excruciating pain in my head and had already fainted that morning. My nearest hospital was PV so I went around 9am on 7/26. There was one other person in the waiting room at the time and I was brought back to room 11. I talked to a physician assistant about my pain, in tears the entire time. About an hour goes by and nothing. I wasn't checked in on, didn't see a doctor, wasn't told how much longer I would have to wait, nothing. I've been alone in this bed for an hour crying, feeling dizzy and light headed. Finally, I get up to what I guess is the nurse's station to hear people talking about going out to some concert and laughing loudly and hysterically. I have to ask multiple times to get this older woman with short curly hair to pay attention to me. In tears again, I explain to her that I not feeling stable and that to make matters worse, I got a call that my dog had escaped and that I needed to go soon. VERY rudely she snaps at me and tells me to wait. I go back to the room to wait. She comes in with paperwork for me to sign so that I can leave. I am trying to speak with her but I am in so much pain and dizzy and crying and I ask her how much longer until I could possibly be seen she practically yells at me saying "there are people bleeding here! We are busy!" Which I understand but I would have appreciated ANY update. She asks if I'm going to go or not which I explain I do not want to as I do not feel okay and ask again for a ball park on to when I could be seen as I haven't been seen yet. She throws her hands up and says "I don't have time for you I have paperwork" and leaves. I have NEVER been treated like that by a health care professional before in my entire life. I wish I had gotten her name so that I could properly complain about her. I was told in the beginning that because I do not have insurance, I would be billed by mail and have 10 days to pay. I am not paying a dime to PV hospital. Not only did I not get seen by a physician, but I have experienced better care and concern at the MVD! To tell a patient who tells you she feels like she is going to pass out again that you have paperwork and are too busy to "deal" with her? You should be appalled. I am a patient person and would have been completely understanding had someone ever told me that it would be a while to be seen. Instead, when I sought answers I was snapped at treated so poorly. I hope that this is not how everyone is treated at your hospital. If I could give PV zero stars, I would. Travel a little further and go to a different hospital.
