| - I went in to purchase a used car, I saw 2 on their website that I was interested in. When I got to the dealership the sales people were all out front ready to quickly swoop in, I mean, greet people. The salesman seemed nice at first, I explained my situation and what my price range was and that I was pre-approved from by bank. We walked over to look for the 2 cars I had seen online, he went inside the used building to get the keys and find out where they were parked. When he came back out he said one was already sold and they didn't know where the other one was, he thinks an employee took it to go to another dealership. Instead of giving me a straight answer to which one was sold and when the other one would be back he tried to get me into a couple of other cars that were 2-3k MORE than what I said I could afford. I looked at them and they were in HORRIBLE condition with holes, not dents, to the exterior, missing trim and pieces of upholstery and wiring hanging off from the interior. Yes, the price range I was looking for was low (5-6k) but that was absolutely ridiculous, I could have found something in MUCH better condition both cosmetically AND mechanically at one of those "parking lot dealers". It's unfortunate that just because they see a woman car shopping alone they automatically assume they can pull the wool over her eyes and get her into something that she doesn't need/want/can't afford. If you're looking for the stereo-typical used car salesmen then go to Camelback Mazda.
I ended up finding exactly what I wanted at another dealer and had a GREAT sales experience there! **cough** Tempe Honda**cough**
