I have been a member of Nevada Federal Credit Union for 21 years and only ever had ONE problem. When the notice to change to One Nevada Credit Union came I was concerned with what changes would really impact its members once the board got its way. The paperwork and newsletters that came were so clearly one sided, I knew there had to be a negative side that was being over shadowed. I read each notice that came with caution and attention to the details. When I had questions, I called to have them answered. I decided to vote against the change due to the changes in the Member's Rights and Notices. It was clear that this would no longer be a "Member's Credit Union." I realized that most other members were likely to vote with the Board's advice to change and likely without reading the disclosures at all. Now its members are starting to feel the results of change. True enough and as I expected, the customer service has declined and the fees are on a steady increase. I am saddened to say that this is no longer the credit union of choice. Keep looking, there are other Credit Unions still out there with the original mindset of getting its members the maximum benefit at the lowest cost. I am switching to one that has zero monthly fees, loan rates that are averaging 3% lower than One Nevada and it is still paying interest on their Checking and Savings accounts. This is what this credit union used to be but I cannot recommend it anymore! :(
