Colleen took away my consignment shop virginity!! I know that sounds wrong (g rated people) but this was the first time I shopped consignment.
I was not too sure what to expect here but nevertheless gave it a try. They had a huge mix of product the day I stopped by.. I was on guard due to what the previous yelpers mentioned about pushy sales people. On my visit I didn't feel like I was being pushed to look at product, it was quite the opposite; there wasn't anyone helping me on the floor. I did manage to find a cool ottoman that would fit my house and opted to purchase.
When I tried to purchase, the associate was having issues with the credit card machine and needed to take my card to another office. She was gone for about 15 minutes. With my CC being out of my sight for 15 minutes I was very upset and irate about it. How do I know that they didn't write my info down or buy something with it?!? You never know these days. Fortunately nothing strange happened with my info. Just for future reference sales people DO NOT DO THIS!!!! Its a security compromise for you and the customer! I was about to rip someones head off for doing this! They finally managed to make the transaction via phone authorization 25 minutes later. The manager offered to give me a small item on the floor for my hassles. I gladly obliged the gesture and picked out a small set of boxes.
Long story short, this place is a great place to find a killer bargain. The merchandise changes all of the time BUT they need to fix the CC machine before I will go back to them. In this day in age a phone modem CC machine will not cut it nor will I let someone take my card to the "back office" for authorization. That killed the 4* effort to a 3* review...
