Here's the Real Deal.
The black Bull as we know it is dead. it's been dead for very long time. Recent new partnerships with other family members have created real change at The Bull. Gone are the days where bar relies on it's regulars when it's amazing patio is not open they have been pushed out by new policies. To me it's always been the staff fun cheeky local the way should be. You take that away and you take your Queen Street local badge of honor away. So out with the old and in with the new the change of times happened to a bar I once knew. With that being said , The Black Bull is still one of the city's best patios due to its size alone. You won't find the regulars that kept the bar running for years in the lean times when the patio was not so busy or local. The black bull has become a hipster upper-class tourist patio more than ever. Still a great place to watch life go bye get there early so you'll be able to get the best table. Also by far the three best bartenders in the city still work there and after a very long stand. My all time favorite bartenders Sheldon is still one of the city's best AMBASSADOR bartenders when it comes to meeting and greeting and having a great conversation and making the people always feel welcome HE'S YOUR MAN !!! This a real review by me who has been on the strip since 1989. Enjoy :-)but drink responsibly at The Bull of course.
